Donaldson Torit Model 54 Cabinet Dust Collector

 Description:

This dust collector is in very good condition.  It runs very quiet, is slightly larger than a Shop Vac, and is vastly superior to a Shop Vac for light duty dust collection needs.

This is a Donaldson Torit model 54 cabinet style dust collector, serial number C4146, 115 volt, 60 Hz, 1/3 horsepower, 3450 RPM.  This dust collector is equipped with a 3” inlet, a blast gate, and a 3” to 2” reducer.  Both the power switch and the manual filter bag kicker lever (to shake dust from the filter bags) are located on the right side.  Dust drops into a pull out tray (0.43 cubic foot capacity) for disposal.  There is a rectangular air discharge port at the top of the unit.  The unit is 23” wide, by 20 inched deep by 27 inches high.  This unit comes with a full set (24) of new cotton filter bags, still in the box.

There is some very minor surface rust in the interior and the cover retaining screws are worn, but functional (still hold the covers in place).  It was originally blue, but someone has painted it tan.  All filter hold-down hardware is present (no missing parts).  The discharge port safety cover screen is missing and can easily be replaced with a piece of hardware cloth or small vent screen.

Torit rates this unit at 284 cfm.  The total filter bag area is 30 square feet so it will tolerate large amounts of fines without clogging.  Additional information about this unit can be found on Torit’s web site at www.donaldsontorit.com.

I suggest that this unit be picked up locally in Corona, California.  It is heavy and large and would have to be shipped by truck on a pallet.  I would be happy to palletize, wrap it, and ship it by truck, but I don’t think you will want to spend the $200 to $250 it will probably cost to ship.  If you want to research the shipping, it would ship from zip code 92882 on a standard 42” by 48” pallet and will weigh about 130 pounds, including the pallet.  Email mills@catalystpharma.com if you have any questions about this machine or shipping.
